Nice place with free Wi-Fi, a bar lounge area, and pet-friendly options. Staff even helped me find a lost jewel during my first stay. I'm excited to return for Christmas!

We had a very relaxing and amusing weekend.
Some areas were a little cold but to be fair the weather was extreme. The plumbing in the bathroom was a little strange as hot water came out of the cold taps.

Lack of and poor quality of staff. Breakfast was very disappointing. We would not stay at this hotel again.

The staff were welcoming and pleasant and the location was wonderful in a square. Plus, it was just off the surrounding area.

We had a cozy stay with a fabulous double room featuring a log burner for extra warmth. Breakfast was good, especially the homemade treats! The location had a charm that's hard to match.

The bed was comfy and linnen and towels were clean and soft.
Its going a bit downhill and badly needs and upgrade. There was a very large crack in the wall next to the bed. No attempt had been made to cover this up or repair it and the bathroom was very shabby especially the waterproofing around the bath. Everything was functional but only as far as it needed to be. We got the suite at a reduced price and basically we got what we paid for but if we had paid full price we would have been complaining bitterly. I had to send my main meal back and had to ask for an alternative and there was no attempt to apologise or make any sort of recompense. In fact it was charged in full on the final bill and we had to sort it out the following morning.

This is a lovely village, and the hotel is converted from buildings that once were related to the abbey or its successor church, so full of character. The food was excellent and the whole stay was throughly enjoyable, and very good value....

I likked the Lord Crewe Arms because we called in once for lunch and wanted to come back for an overnight stay. We were lucky that we had something on in the area and needed to be at Wolsingham by 9-30 and didn't fancy driving from Seahouses at that time...

The food at the restaurant was great I had the seabass and it was cooked to perfection and the breakfast that followed was also great. The fudge and cookies on arrival was a pleasant surprise and.
It wasn't exactly cheap but it felt acceptable for what we got.

The village of Blanchland is beautiful
We found it difficult to get a taxi from the hotel. One room did not have a working lock, tempermental shower & let in light.

Charming and Cozy Stay
We had a good night in this beautiful old building! The staff were super friendly and helpful. I loved the cute little homemade biscuits and the Nespresso in our room. Everything was clean and comfy. Just a heads up, the old floors creaked a bit, but it added to the charm. Can't wait to visit again!

Location, new furniture, friendly staff
It is a very old building and needed better cleaning, both our room and common parts.
